"Biblioteca scelta di Opere Italiane antiche e moderne." - Neuausgabe der erstmals 1795 erschienenen Beschreibung des Rheins von Mainz bis Düsseldorf. - "1787 reiste Aurelio de' Giorgi Bertola über Zürich und Waldshut an den Rhein bis nach Düsseldorf. Die 1795 auf der Grundlage der Tagebücher erschienene "Viaggio sul Reno", ein Reiseroman in 16 Briefen, gilt als sein Hauptwerk und bereitet einerseits die romantische Landschaftsdichtung in Italien vor, andererseits wurde Aurelio de' Giorgi Bertola durch das Werk zum Begründer der Rheinromantik" (Wikipedia). - Erschien nie vollständig in einer deutschen Übersetzung. - Fleckenloses, unbeschnittenes Exemplar.

Roma, Iacobi de Rubeis, [1670 - 1680]. In-folio oblong, demi-veau brun à petits coins, dos lisse orné de filets dorés, plats de papier rose. Reliure début XVIIIe. De la bibliothèque d'Auguste-Raynald Werner, avec son ex-libris, ainsi que deux notices dactylographiées (en rouge et bleu) par A.-R. Werner relatives aux oeuvres de ce volume. Il mentionne que ce volume a appartenu à Théodore Flournoy, célèbre psychologue suisse qui s'intéressa au paranormal et au grand courant spirite de son époque.
Ensemble de trois séries gravées par Pietro Santi Bartoli (1635-1700) graveur italien né à Pérouse. Il fut l'élève de Jean Lemaire et Nicolas Poussin ( sa tombe est voisine de celle de Poussin dans la basilique de San Lorenzo à Lucina). Sigismundi Augusti Mantuam Adeuntis Profectio Ac Triumphus. Roma, Giovanni Giacomo De Rossi, 1680Cette série comprend 26 planches à toute marge: un titre, un feuillet de dédicace et 24 planches. L'entrée de l'empereur Sigismond à Mantoue en 1432 a été représentée en stuc entre 1526 et 1532 dans la Sala degli Stucchi du Palazzo del Te, probablement par Le Primatice, en collaboration avec Giulio Romano. Comme l'indique le titre du livre, le style des stucs imite directement les bas-reliefs des colonnes de Trajan et de Marc Aurèle. Le Primatice a ensuite développé ce qui est devenu connu sous le nom de « l'école de Fontainebleau » en France, dans laquelle se combinent relief en stuc et peinture maniériste.
