Très bel exemplaire.Pour la dignité du futur.Au moment où se construit l'Europe, certaines images essentielles créées par les grands peintres de ce siècle demeurent, hélas, encore trop méconnues, voire inconnues. Ces images fortes et indispensables assurent pourtant la compréhension et la cohésion de ce continent. Elles sont indissociables de notre histoire, de ce quotidien de la vie et de l'art constitué d'une mosaïque de peuples qui ont, durant des siècles, assumé leur autonomie culturelle et leur destin, de manière presque jalouse, par crainte de l'autre, par peur du lendemain. Trop souvent retranchés les uns des autres, ces pays, privés de la connaissance de leurs diversités culturelles - seules vraies richesses, trop souvent mises en défavorable évidence - sont maintenant appelés à les brasser, à les redéfinir, de manière à mieux connaître les sources de leur passé commun. Pour des raisons évidentes, historiques, l'art allemand a toujours occupé une place essentielle dans l'histoire des peuples de ce continent.
