Donetsk native Nikolai Petrovich Glushchenko fled with the Denikin army to Europe, settled in Paris, where he was influenced by the coryphean paintings of his time, mainly impressionists. Paris was hard to be surprised, but Glushchenko was not lost in the artistic crowd; his works were exhibited in the halls of the Autumn Salon, the Salon of the Independent, the Tuilry Gallery.
