Rare première édition avec la mention “Les albums du Père Castor”. Ouvrage identique à l’album de 1932, paru chez Flammarion, puis YMCA Press, mais en format légèrement réduit. Les illustrations “russes” de Nathalie Parain sont toujours aussi séduisantes. Ex-libris Girard Fondation Library : de la bibliothèque d’Alexandre et Susan Girard. Alexandre Girard (1897-1993), architecte et designer américain collectionna avec son épouse objets traditionnels et livres qui furent pour la majeure partie offerts au Musée des Arts populaires de Santa Fe et au Vitra Design Museum de Weil am Rhein en Allemagne. En parfaite condition.
