Tombé dans le thé quand il était petit, il reprend en 1975 la maison fondée par son père Jean, un créatif au sens inné du marketing : le premier, dans les années 60, il a conçu et introduit en Europe continentale des thés parfumés, devenus depuis les vecteurs de conquête d'une clientèle jeune. Son père souffrant, Jacques abandonne ses études d'économie et le seconde dans le commerce des feuilles torréfiées, offrant à l'entreprise familiale autant ses compétences de gestion que son goût du combat. Il refusera, par exemple, de céder aux sirènes de la grande distribution pour privilégier l'épicerie fine et les petites unités. L'histoire de la culture du thé, les différents type de thé, l'art du thé et la publicité sur le thé. Une vraie Référence par un professionnel et grand amateur de thé. Très belle iconographie ancienne. Ce livre faisait partie de la bibliothèque du chef et critique gastronomique Jean-Pierre Coffe. Pas courant Très bon état
