Rare publication du photographe japonais Ogawa Kazumasa. L'album contient 12 collotypes d'après ses photographies. Chaque collotype est protégé par une serpente et est titré en anglais. L'album (40,5 x 30 cm) est en excellent état . On trouve parfois 2 volumes pour ce titre, mais notre volume ne porte aucune mention de tomaison. Il se lit à l'européenne et son étiquette de titre sur la couverture ne mentionne pas l'adresse du photographe. (Type I, Kelly & Walsh Imprint - Cover Title - "In Collotype"). K. Ogawa, Tokyo, sans date [circa 1895]. 40,5 x 30 cm, couvertures cartonnées décorées, brochés à la japonaise avec cordons, 12 planches, collotypes en noir et blanc protégés par des serpentes. Couverture légèrement usée avec un manque angulaire, dernière planche avec petites déchirures marginales, sinon bon exemplaire. Dans ce volume : 1) Tea picking at Uji, 2) Old court dress, 3) Costume in former times of a daughter of the higher class, 4) Hair-dressing, 5) Battle-dore and shuttle-cock play, 6) Koto playing, 7) The art of flower arranging, 8) The ceremony of "Cha-no-yu." 9) Musical entertainment, 10) A Jinrikisha ride to the flower show, 11) Cotton-spinning and 12) Carpenters at work.
