A used copy with several pencilled annotations in the text. Stamps and written names of previous owners on front paste-down, first blank, half title and title page, including the lepidopterologist Pierre Gauroy (his stamp also on plate B, touching a figure). Apparently this is the second edition (1896 first, 1924 third). 16 pp. catalogue of Klincksieck bound in the rear.

1868 380 p., 12 plates (mostly hand-coloured or tinted), original pictorial boards. The second volume (of four known), of a journal on insects in agriculture edited by E. Donnaud. The fine plates show noxious insects (mainly beetles, and stinging flies and their eggs) in full colour, and mites (tinted plates). Boards rather soiled and corners worn, but the pictorial front cover still quite good. A faint dampstain on the lower outer corner, otherwise a good copy. Rare.
