Ex library J.J. van Aartsen (inserted are a few loose papers with notes).Atlas volume with all plates in good quality Italian reprint edition. This rare work was originally issued in 26 parts and took 17 years to finish (1882-1898)! It was published in a limited edition, and was one of the early scientific works making use of original photographs.
