The work contains the descriptions and illustrations of many new and little known species of Cephalopods and Gastropods. The plates of the parts written by Edwards were drawn and engraved by J. de Carle Sowerby. The title page with a marginal tear (repaired). A photocopy of the direction to the binder (with an overview of all parts and publication dates) has been tipped in on front pastedown. The pages 237-240 are bound upside down. The last plate (34) and explanatory text leaf in photocopy. Added is: The supplement (with one plate) by Searles Wood in photocopy (31 p.), loosely inserted.
