‎Summary On account of the artists' collaborative practice, Sebastiano del Piombo's oeuvre is often misconstrued as a coloristic supplement to Michelangelo's disegno or as a mere extension of the older master's drawings and ideas. Marsha Libina's book complicates this narrative by offering a critical reevaluation of the devotional art of Sebastiano del Piombo (1485-1547), an important Venetian artist whose Roman work stands at the nexus of questions regarding art, religious reform and the largely unexplored history of artistic collaboration. Investigating new ways of understanding Sebastiano's interest in soliciting Michelangelo's drawings as catalysts of invention, Libina tells the story of a collaboration driven neither by a compliant imitation of Michelangelo nor the reconciliation of opposing regional styles but, rather, by an interest in hermeneutically productive difference - generating complementary yet divergent approaches to art as a vehicle of reform. This volume presents an in-depth exploration of how Sebastiano's experiments with the sacred image - like Michelangelo's - were formulated in response to the early years of Catholic reform. The years preceding the Council of Trent saw the rise of divisive investigations into the repercussions of an increasingly mediated knowledge of the divine. Des rousseurs parfois importantes, cachet bleu d'ancien possesseur, coupure de presse ajoutée. Assez bon exemplaire. Peu courant.‎

‎Hatin, 1819: La totalité de ce qui est paru dans ce format. Après les lois de 1819, il prend le grand format et devient quotidien. Cette feuille, qui se fit par ses violentes excentricités une renommée si bruyante, prit naissance à la chute du ministère Descazes, au moment où les hommes du Conservatuer se personnifièrent au pouvoir en la personne de M. de Villèle. Le gros du troupeau, comme c'est l'ordinaire, avait suivi son chef au pouvoir. L'autre parti, moindre, qu'on appela l'Incorruptible, se releva avec le Drapeau blanc, qui eut pour rédacteurs outre Martainville, Lamennais, de Haller, O'Mahouy, Saint-Victor, Salgues, Achille de Jouffroy, Nodier, Henri de Bonald, etc. Vive le Roi quand même!.‎

‎In het begin van de zestiende eeuw telde de Antwerpse binnenstad heel wat piepkleine woningen. Tot tien procent van de huizen bestond uit een enkele kamer op de benedenverdieping met daarboven een zolder. Er zijn er nog maar weinig over, en nog minder wekken het charmante aanschijn van weleer. In januari 2003 wordt de openbare verkoop aangekondigd van een van de laatste originele zestiende-eeuwse ?kamers? in de Toog, een doodlopend straatje in Antwerpen. Het huisje is niet geklasseerd en de ligging in de studentenbuurt geeft weinig hoop om het uit de handen van de ?verkotting? voor studenten te houden. Een buitenkans om dit onvervangbare erfgoed te redden en in zijn volle glorie te herstellen dient zich aan. Na een grondige bouwtechnische inventaris van alle sporen van verbouwingen en wat zich nog in originele staat bevindt, wordt een bouwvergunning aangevraagd. Bij de restauratie staat het gebruik van oorspronkelijke materialen centraal, wat regelmatig voor enig speurwerk en dus vertraging zorgt. Eens het huisje in zijn oorspronkelijke staat is hersteld, is de tijd rijp om zijn geschiedenis en die van de Toog uit te diepen. Die leert ons dat het huisje samen met vier andere gebouwd werd als godshuis, een liefdadige voorziening voor oude mensen. Het pand blijft tot het midden van de vorige eeuw in bezit van de nazaten van de stichter-bouwheer, die het al die tijd gratis laten bewonen. De hoop is dat dit boek ertoe bijdraagt dit gerestaureerde godshuisje en zijn geschiedenis te bewaren, en misschien zelfs een officiële klassering als erfgoed in de wacht te slepen. ‎

However, the literary concept of space and its narrative analysis have found less interest than the study of space as a social and cultural phenomenon. Its aim is, on the one hand, to present the narrative analysis of space as a still-developing field in non-biblical literature and, on the other, to show how this promising approach can be developed in biblical studies. In particular, this monograph provides the narrative analysis and interpretation of space in the book of Judith in response. The first part of the study offers a synthetic overview of perceptions, concepts and theories of space from antiquity to contemporary research, and of the theoretical approaches to space in the Old Testament. The main part is dedicated to the analysis of space on the micro and macro levels of the Judith story through the application of Katrin Dennerlein's narratological theory of space.
