Er publizierte zahlreiche Schriften und war selber als Operateur tätig. «Seine vollendeten anatomischen Kenntnisse verliehen ihm bei seinen Operationen eine grosse Sicherheit ...» (Hirsch-H.). – Die Kupfertafel lose. Mit Exlibris auf dem Vorsatz «Bibliotheka anatomica Basiliensis». mehrfach gestempelt. Papier durchgehend gebräunt. Der Einband berieben und bestossen.

Sehr seltene Originalausgabe. Einer der frühesten Texte der "Compagnie de l'Art Brut", d.h. von Jean Dubuffet, der 1945 mit Nachforschungen zur Kunst der Geisteskranken begann. Ab 1947 wurden regelmässig Ausstellungen in den Räumlichkeiten der Galerie Drouin veranstaltet. Dubuffet entdeckte die Arbeiten Müllers (1869-1930) anlässlich seiner zweiten Schweizer Reise 1948 während eines Besuchs bei Max Müller, Klinikdirektor in Münsingen, der den Patienten als junger Arzt betreut hatte. Der Text von Jakob Wyrsch wurde aus den Krankenakten zusammengestellt. - Sehr selten.
