Rossie plays with the disparity between those who cover and reveal, those who see and hear everything, those who are kept small, and those who refuse the confifinement of their shackles. Rossie's characters invite a contemporary view on gender, without losing sight of history, since it is precisely what has been that serves as a starting point in the search for an alternative, contemporary view of what people can be. ‎Leblanc a été co-fondateur de G58, il est entré en contact avec l'avant-garde internationale, comme le groupe allemand Zero (1958-1966), Nul des Pays-Bas (1960-1965) et est devenu membre du mouvement international Nouvelle Tendance (1961- 1968) En 1959, Leblanc introduit la torsion comme élément de base dans son ?uvre. Dans les Twisted Strings, des fils de coton torsadés étaient tendus sur une surface monochrome, généralement blanche. En fonction du mouvement du spectateur et de l'incidence variable de la lumière sur le relief, un effet d'optique vibrant se crée dans l'?il du participant. Dans les Mobilo Static, les fils de coton ont été remplacés par des rubans en polyvinyle bicolore. Les Torsions se sont ensuite développées en sculptures autoportantes en métal laqué ou en bois. ‎Summary Early medieval manuscripts were commonly annotated not only by glosses but also by annotation symbols. These graphic signs inserted in manuscript margins provided manuscript text with layers of additional meaning and functionality. From the most common signs marking biblical quotations and passages of interest to the sophisticated systems of signs used by some of the early medieval scholars, annotation symbols represent perhaps the most common form of marginalia encountered in early medieval books. Yet, their non-verbal character proved a serious obstacle to their understanding and appreciation. This book represents the first systematic study of annotation symbols used in the Latin West between c. 400 and c. 900. Combining paleographic evidence with the evidence of written sources such as late antique and early medieval lists of signs, this book identifies the most important communities of sign users and conventions in use in the early Middle Ages. It explores some of the notable differences between regions, periods, linguistic communities and classes of users and reconstructs a fascinating history of the practice of using signs, rather than words, to annotate text.
