‎Édition originale et unique de cet ouvrage consacré au château de Fonthill, une propriété néo-gothique en Angleterre, construite par James Wyatt pour William Beckford, l'auteur du célèbre Vathek. Un des exemplaires de grand format. Il est illustré d'un frontispice en couleurs représentant une galerie de l'abbaye de Fonthill, un titre gravé, 11 planches hors textes, certaines en couleurs et 1 grande carte dépliante rehaussée de couleurs à la main ainsi que des bandeaux et culs-de-lampe gravés sur bois en noir dans le texte. En tête de volumes, il a été relié le bulletin de souscription signé par l'auteur et la facture de l'ouvrage.
