‎Edition originale. Reliure en plein veau brun granité d'époque. Dos à nerfs orné de 5 fleurons caissonés. Pièce de titre en maroquin rouge. Coiffe de tête élimée. Frottements. Une ancienne mouillure a fragilisé les premiers feuillets en marge extérieure (2cm de long sur 1 de large). Première biographie écrite de Marguerite de Valois, dite la reine Margot, dans un style très romanesque, mais sans aucun lyrisme et d'une grande clarté.
