A small in-12 book of 10,5 x 16,5 cm, 430 pp. Full percaline hardcover with a leather style, Bradel hinges, embossed covers, title written in gold on the spine, ornated spine. This is a Sephardi version. All prayers and petitions in their order. With many additions and supplements, such as the Hoshanot Order, the Parshiot Order, the Book of Psalms, etc.
Yellowed paper, very light rubbing on the head and tail, otherwise a good copy.

This is a catalogue of an exposition of paintings and artworks by Eliahou Eric Bokobza, with explanatory texts in English. In-4, 308 x 250 mm, 141 (3) pp. Bradel-style hardcover with colorful boards. Title written in Hebrew on spine. Printed on couché paper. Foreword by Orit Shaham-Gover, text "Kol Israel Haverim (All Jews are Friends): Multiple Jewish Identities in the Work of Eric Bokobza" by Smadar Sheffi. "Bokobza grapples with the weighty concept of kol Yisrael haverim and the contrasting elements of what he calls his “mixed identity”—his Tunisian-French-Israeli heritage, Oriental and Occidental cultures, his experience with religion and mysticism as a secular Jew— in “United Colors.” The exhibit is modeled after traditional museum exhibitions of Judaica, said Bokobza, which typically divide Jewish ritual objects into Jewish holiday and life cycle sections... “In each painting, I’m showing what my secular experience as a Jew in Israel was like” he said." Encadernação de meio tecido verde garrafa com aparência de couro, lombada com 4 nervos, nome de autor e título na lombada com iniciais (do antigo dono?) no baixo. Papéis marmorizados verdes nas cobertas. Índice no fim do livro. Três capítulos sob a "Sinagoga Paulista", cinco capítulos sob "o lustre sr. Simonsen", vários capítulos com nomes até poéticos: "O regime dos antropófagos", "O rinoceronte do pampa", etc. Livro de história polêmica altamente fora do politicamente correto. Menciona a rede Burschenschaft da Faculdade de Direito de São Paulo, conhecida no nome de "Bucha" ainda hoje. Obra de revelações de história secreta ou meramente panflete antissemitista? Deixamos a decisão ao leitor.
Papel amarelado, lombada elegante, miolo firme. Livro difícil de achar e ainda mais fora do Brasil.

Amsterdam et Leipzig, Arkstée & Merkus, 1755. 2 tomes (COMPLET) reliés en 1 volume in-4 (25.5x20.5cm), pleine basane, dos à 5 nerfs orné, pièce de titre, tranches rouges. Titre imprimé en rouge et noir. Très bon état, pas de rousseurs. 3ff-XXXIX-387pp- 2ff-426pp-1ff. Bien complet des 2 frontispices et 11 planches, pour la plupart des cartes, dont 10 dépliantes. L'édition originale de cet ouvrage, donnée à Londres de 1715 à 1718, connut un succès prodigieux en Angleterre et y fut réimprimée près de dix fois en quelques années. On a retranché de cette traduction les passages anticatholiques, mais elle a en revanche été augmentée de deux dissertations du Père Joseph Tournemine, l'une sur la ruine de Ninive et l'empire assyrien, l'autre sur l'autorité des livres de l'Ancien Testament récusés par les protestants et des lettres critiques de Moyle ainsi que des réponses.
