Notre exemplaire est une des très rares épreuves imprimées sur papier Japon, 2 toutes petites traces de punaisage sur l'extrémité de la marge supérieure (Our plate is one of the few copies printed on Japanese paper. Original plate in good condition). LES MAITRES DE L'AFFICHE, prestigieuse publication d'art, éditée par l'atelier de lithographie Chaix, dont la parution s'étala de décembre 1895 à novembre 1900. Chaque livraison comportait 4 planches de reproduction en chromolithographie d'une remarquable qualité d'impression des plus belles affiches illustrées des grands artistes français et étrangers (auxquelles il faut ajouter 16 planches de lithographies originales offertes en prime aux abonnés). Lors de l'Exposition universelle de 1889, fut organisée la première exposition rétrospective dévolue à l'affiche, celle-ci devait valider la reconnaissance officielle d'appartenance de l'affiche au monde de l'art. Jules Chéret (1836-1932) y sera sacré '' Maître de l'affiche '', c'est aussi à cette date que Seurat commencera à collectionner les affiches de Chéret. ‎Summary For more than a millenium, singers in churches, monasteries, and private chapels across Europe have closed their worship with the joyful musical exclamation Benedicamus Domino ('Let us Bless the Lord'). This moment has sounded in song many times a day: at the end of the Mass, the Office hours, outside the church walls in celebratory processions, as well as in informal sacred, devotional, and festive contexts. Benedicamus Domino was uniquely associated with an unprecedented amount of creative freedom in the sacred rituals of the Christian West: plainchant melodies could be adopted at will from other parts of the liturgy, and this moment inspired a proliferation of poetic and polyphonic elaborations from the eleventh century on. This collection of essays brings together interdisciplinary contributions from eighteen scholars, illuminating the wide range of ritual, musical, poetic, manuscript, and generic contexts for the Benedicamus Domino versicle in the period c.800 -1650. Individual chapters engage with the evidence of liturgical commentaries and Patristic texts, Ordines, and hagiographies. They present and analyse musical and textual embellishments of the Benedicamus Domino, as well as their written traces and material contexts, with several sources discovered or discussed in detail here for the first time. Encompassing a wide geographical and generic scope, this volume reveals unsuspected continuities and contrasts in the history of the Benedicamus Domino versicle in medieval and early modern Europe. ‎La peinture de vue du dix-huitieme siecle a Venise est apparue avec Luca Carlevarijs et s'est eteinte a la mort de Francesco Guardi en 1793, suivi par l'invasion de Napoleon et la chute de la Republique de Venise en 1797. Entre deux, une constellation de peintres remarquables s'est distinguee dans l'illustration des vues les plus celebres comme des coins les plus recules de la ville dans d'eblouissantes images qui comptent parmi les plus grandes reussites artistiques du dix-huitieme siecle. Bien que Canaletto soit probablement l'artiste le plus directement associe a ces images, il comptait beaucoup de rivaux. Chaque artiste avait de la meme topographie sa propre vision unique et la representait de facon clairement distincte. Ce catalogue montre les differentes reponses a ce paysage urbain avec sa lumiere toujours changeante et ses personnages de theatre.
