Illustré d'un frontispice gravé par Chovin et de 16 hors-texte. Dans le Praedium rusticum, Vanière, en 16 livres, chante les travaux et les plaisirs de la campagne. Dans ce poème, il s'est rapproché de l'auteur des Géorgiques autant que le pouvait un moderne.

In-12 de XVI-427-[5] pages et un frontispice, plein veau marbré, dos lisse orné de filets et fleurons dorés, pièce de titre rouge, triple filets dorés encadrant les plats, tranches dorées, épidermures, coiffes et coins frottées. Etiquette du libraire Grégoire, à Paris (du temps).
Orné d'un frontispice dessiné par Gravelot et gravé par Longeuil. Jacques Vanière fut un poète et un latiniste français; son Praedium rusticum est son oeuvre la plus connue: en seize livres il y chante les travaux et les plaisirs de la campagne, ce qui lui valut le surnom de Virgile français. Inscription autographe du professeur Picot-Trembley.
