‎ Die Geschichte der Tiroler Fotografie von ihren Anfängen im Jahr 1854 bis in die Gegenwart. 1854 begann der erste Tiroler die Fotografie als Gewerbe zu betreiben. Bald schon traten mehrere einheimische Fotopioniere mit beachtlichen Leistungen in Erscheinung. Es setzte eine rasante Entwicklung ein. Zwei, drei Jahrzehnte später war das neue Medium aus dem gesellschaftlichen und kulturellen Leben nicht mehr wegzudenken. Seit 1936 ist die Firma Durst ein Teil der Tiroler Fotografiegeschichte. Eine Ausstellung aus Anlass ihres 75-jährigen Bestandes und das Katalogbuch dazu spannen am Beispiel von 75 Fotografinnen und Fotografen aus allen Landesteilen des historischen Tirol einen Bogen von den Pionierzeiten bis zur Gegenwart.
