‎Very rare newspaper from St. Moritz, for the english speaking residents and tourists, later called ‘The Alpine Post’. Much about skating, tennis, curling, golf, toboggaing (& Bobsleighing), ice-hockey and even snowshoeing. In the 1895 ed. on p. 48 & 1897 edition on p. 356, I found one of the the first indications of skiiing in St. Moritz, with each an illustration first of a Ski-Running in full career down an incliner’of 2 man on skis with one stick each, and this remarkable indication: ‘Snow-shoeing and Skiing, although they cannot be regarded exactly as sports, are amusements that keep people healthily employed in the open air’.
