Duveen, 451 : "First Edition of what Sudhoff (n°89) calls "one of the most important writings of the Paracelsus literature of the time" In addition to a compendium of Paracelsus's works the book contains his book on longevity with a commentary by Jean Gohory (q.v.) who was himself an important and interesting character (see Alexander, A further Bibliography of the late John Ferguson, p.27). The biography of Paracelse is one of the earliest and the list of writings is important. Ferguson (Bibliographia Paracelsia, p.13) says : "The portrait in this edition is one of the earliest if it be not actually the first of Paracelsus". See Aberle, p.496. Mook (p.51-n°62) describes the reprint, Basle, 1568, and says that he has been unable to see a copy of the Paris edition." ‎
