Le maire d'alors était l'industriel Victor Godefroy (1799-1861). Ces lettres concernent l'achat du presbytère de l'église Saint-Pierre qui appartient alors à Mme Le Bailly qui souhaite s'en séparer. Cagniard voudrait que la ville l'achète. Cachet de la collection Etienne Déville (1873-1944), historien, conservateur à Lisieux. [178] ‎
