Le tampon apposé à l'intérieur de la couverture indique que le livre a été relié par J. Brandt & Zoon, relieurs à Amsterdam. L'ouvrage est numéroté et paraphé par le relieur (sans indication de limitation). Le texte du livre est basé sur les traductions de Felix Genzmer et Hans Voss, sélectionnées et complétées par Klaus Wrage. First Edition. Cloth covered book, containing 82 full page wood cut engravings. Bound in the japanese style, with a cord through the block and binding. Gilt titles to front board and spine. There is some fading to the boards, but very clean and neat. The pages themselves are clean and tidy throughout. Stamp to the inside front boards states that the book was bound by J. Brandt & Zoon, bookbinders of Amsterdam. It is numbered and initialled by the binder (but with no clue as to limitation). The text of the book is based on the translations by Felix Genzmer and Hans Voss, selected and supplemented by Klaus Wrage. Despite a variety of estimated dates in copies for sale, WorldCat / FirstSearch confirm that this first edition was in 1941. A striking adaptation of Norse Legends.
