Large paper edition. One of a small (but unspecified) number of copies on superior quality paper. Half leather. The spine has cracking to the edge of this, and across the back. Has been lightly repaired with archival glue. Green buckram boards. End papers are somewhat darkened, but the rest of the book is in good clean condition. A catalogue of comic blunders - from printing errors in early Shakespearean works, proof corrections by authors, and strange translations. This book highlights human folly in both writing and communication. Henry Benjamin Wheatley (18381917) was a British librarian, bibliographer, and scholar known for works on London history and book studies.
