[ Vallières approuve le compte du notaire Pierre Laforce adressé à Madame veuve et aux héritiers de feu l'Honorable Jacques Perrault et Charles Casgrain. Selon Aubert de Gaspé, Vallières « était l'homme doué de plus de talents naturels qu'ait produit le Canada ».
