‎Experimental twin hulled paddle steamer ( originally named «P S Express» ).‎

‎Photo noir et blanc, non datée ( fin XIXè ), grand format: 24,4 cm x 16,2 cm, support carton noir avec tranches dorées ( 25,1 cm x 17,5 cm ) estampillé «Grossmann, 16 Snargate Street, Dover». Photographie du catamaran à vapeur expérimental conçut pour le transport de passagers entre Douvres et Calais. Construit en 1877 à Newcastle, l’intention du Bureau d’études était de démontrer sa supériorité en matière de stabilité en mer et de confort des passagers par rapport aux autres ferries. Abandon de son exploitation en 1886.‎
