‎Édition originale de cette description archéologique de la Normandie rédigée sous forme de lettres au révérend James Layton.Le financier Dawson Turner (1775-1858) était aussi un amateur de botanique, et, à partir de 1820, un collectionneur d'antiquités. Il apprit avec ses nombreuses filles les rudiments du dessin de John Sell Cotman, ce qui lui permit de réaliser les planches de notre ouvrage.Frère II, 580. Bound in contemporary red half leather, mabled boards and endpapers, binding with some scratches and wear at extremeties, interior fine except for some slight foxing at some pages, notably the title page.
