‎Et meget interessant eksemplar med en personlig dedikation fra Herman Bang til Margrethe Jørgensen. Bangs litterære forhold til Turgenev var nært, Turgenevs kunst havde en væsentlig betydning for udviklingen af Bangs egen impressionistiske stil og senere forskning har påvist markante ligheder mellem de to forfatterskaber.‎
