Hafniæ (Copenhagen), J.M. Lieben, 1707. 4to. In contemporary full calf with four raised bands. Blind-tooled ornamentation to spine. Small paper-label pasted on to top of spine. Wear to extremities. With loss of leather to upper compartment on spine. Scratches to boards and corners bumped. Ex-libris pasted on to down front end-paper. Small hole to last leaf but internally generally nice and clean. (24), 137, (15) pp.

The uncommon first edition of Torfaeus's work on the Danish kings Gorm the Old, Harald Bluetooth and Svein Forkbeard. It is a separate work in itself but was intended to part of the “Series dynastarum et regum Daniæ” - a work on the oldest Danish royal genealogies based on Icelandic sources.Fiske, p. 606.
