‎Der Kunsthistoriker Franz Stadler gehörte zusammen mit Robert Faesi, Hermann Hesse, Felix Moeschlin u.a. zu einer Gruppe Schweizer Intelektuellen, die vom Genfer Pfarrer Lejeune um Hilfe für Robert Musil kontaktiert wurden. Heinz Keller war bereits über seinen Kontakt zu Fritz Wotruba über die schwierigen Verhältnisse Musils orientiert.‎
