‎Simon's Birds of the West Indies is a two-part body of work, whose title is taken from the definitive taxonomy of the same name by the American ornithologist James Bond. Ian Fleming, an active bird watcher, appropriated the author's name for his novels' lead character. He found it "flat and colourless," a fitting choice for a character intended to be "anonymous? a blunt instrument in the hands of the government." The first element of Simon's work is a photographic inventory of the women, weapons and vehicles of James Bond films made over the past fifty years. This visual database of interchangeable variables used in the production of fantasy examines the economic and emotional value generated by their repetition. In the second element of the work, Simon casts herself as the ornithologist James Bond, identifying, photographing, and classifying all the birds that appear within the 24 films of the James Bond franchise. Simon's discoveries often occupy a liminal space between reality and fiction; they are confined within the fictional space of the James Bond universe and yet wholly separate from it.‎

‎Summary On 20 October 1870 pope Pius IX adjourned the First Vatican Council, because of the Italian Rissorgimento troops approaching the city of Rome. Given that the Council had only opened less than a year prior, on 8 December 1869, the act was emblematic. The council, as the Catholic Church's protective response against all things new - rationalism, liberalism, naturalism, materialism, and pantheism - was overtaken by history. Given its premature end not all documents prepared were completed and those that were promulgated, became among the most controversial documents in the nineteenth and twentieth-century Catholic Church, strongly defining its relations to other Christian confessions and modernity. Similarly, around one hundred years after the suspension of the First Vatican Council its historical and theological study was overtaken by the event of the Second Vatican Council, known for its rapprochement to the modern world. ‎In her work, Lisa Vlaemminck explores the boundaries of painting, creating an exciting, vibrating and disorienting universe. In her images, she questions very classical phenomena in painting, such as the landscape and the still life, by freezing them behind semi-transparent layers of paint. We catch a glimpse that feels familiar, but soon find that nothing is what it seems. Vlaemminck's work oscillates between the microscopic and the interstellar, as well as the amorphous spaces in between. Image, material, shape, texture and form mutate into compositional playgrounds floating in a newly created universe where different laws and rules apply. The book 'Screensaver Error' is conceived as a symmetrical, folded stack of sheets with images of Lisa's paintings and collages. At the heart of the book is the sixty-metre long, worm-shaped textile sculpture, which runs like a stream through the book for many pages. The book consists of one section of 144 pages held together in the centre by coloured bookbinder's thread. The 'stack' of sewn paper sheets are not trimmed on the cut, creating a convex shape that is entirely in keeping with the language of Lisa's work. As an object, the book has the status of an autonomous work of art. Dominique De Groen wrote an electrically charged shimmering poem tailored to the work. The introductory text was written by Simon Delobel. In KIOSK, Lisa Vlaemminck presented a series of new paintings and a sixty-metre long textile sculpture that occupied the various exhibition spaces. For the design of the fabric, Lisa worked patterns that form a long colour gradient. At the end of the exhibition, the sculpture, Meat A Morph Hose, was cut into 35 separate, new sculptures that were offered as unique artworks. The artist is reprented by gallery rodolphe janssen‎

Livre de priére appartenant à Jeanne Thiébaud dont les initiales « J. T. 5 juin 1897 » sont frappées en lettres dor sur la soie de la première garde et son nom inscrit au dos dune des 5 cartes conservées dans le livre. Les feuillets vierges reliés au début permettaient de noter une date de communion et de mariage. Le feuillet dexplication in fine indique : « Avec l'Ordinaire de la Messe, page 4 commence la série des gravures marginales. En premier lieu viennent les douze Sibylles admises par la tradition chrétienne et qui prédirent les principaux faits de la vie du Christ. Les sujets du bas représentent les sept sacrements. De la page 48 à la page 74: Naissance de Marie. Mariage de Joseph et de Maris - Vie de Notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ, sa passion, sa mort et sa résurrection. - Mort de la Ste Vierge Assomption de la Ste Vierge. Prayer book belonging to Jeanne Thiébaud, whose initials "J. ‎In 2019 is het honderd jaar geleden dat het Bauhaus werd opgericht, de revolutionaire kunst- en ontwerpschool waarvan de invloed nog steeds voelbaar is. De baanbrekende uitgangspunten van de opleiding hebben ook in Nederland nadrukkelijk weerklank gevonden in architectuur, vormgeving en het ontwerponderwijs. Al voor de oprichting zijn H.P. Berlage, Mathieu Lauweriks en Johan Thorn Prikker lid van de Deutsche Werkbund. De opvattingen van deze organisatie over de samenwerking tussen kunstenaars, architecten en de industrie vormden een belangrijke inspiratiebron voor het Bauhaus. Maar ook het tijdschrift De Stijl werd door docenten en studenten aan het Bauhaus gelezen en de De Stijl-leden Theo van Doesburg en J.J.P. Oud onderhielden nauwe contacten met het Bauhaus. ‎Entzückendes Ansichten- und Reisewerk von Schweizer Berglandschaften, gezeichnet und ausgeführt von Lory und Lafond. Komplettes Exemplar in exzellentem Erhaltungszustand und in zartem Originalkolorit. Lediglich die letzte Ansicht trägt die Signatur Zehenders als Zeichner. Dieser schrieb dafür das Vorwort und wohl auch die restlichen Texte (die auch Doyen Bridel zugeschrieben wurden, cf. Lonchamp), welche die besuchten Regionen und Orte kommentieren. Der berühmte Berner Landschaftsmaler und Aquarellist Gabriel Ludwig Lory (Lory père) (1763-1840) und Simon Daniel Lafond (1763-1831), ebenfalls ein Berner Landschaftsmaler, der sich auf geätzte Umrisszeichnungen und deren Kolorierung spezialisierte, begannen um 1787, gemeinsam Kunstblätter, meist vom Berner Oberland, herauszugeben. Dieses Werk entstand nach einer Reise durch das Berner Oberland und die Innerschweiz. Die am Schluss noch beigebundene Tafel mit Miniaturansichten und den „Remarques minéralogiques de Mr Wyttenbach, Pasteur de l’Eglise du St. Esprit à Berne“ war Mandach offensichtlich nicht bekannt.
