‎Von Johann Salomo(n) Semler (1725–1791) herausgegebene Sammlung von Texten, u.a von Alexander Gerard und Jacob Celsus. Semler, Theologieprofessor an der Universität Halle, war Mitbegründer der Aufklärungstheologie und ein Pionier der historisch-kritischen Schriftforschung. Er stand auch mit Johann Caspar Lavater in Kontakt. – Name ausgeschnitten aus den fliegenden Vorsätzen oben, etwas gebräunt, Einband von Band III. etwas fleckig.‎
