" S.l. (Berlin ?), 1671, in-folio ( 303 x 177 mm), engraved title page + 104 full page portrait engravings. Bound in contemporary full vellum, manuscript titel on spine (Seidel Bildersammlung). The portrait suite was bound in with another 50 blank leaves to receive supplementary portraits (only 1 was tipped -in later). Some of the portrait leaves a bit browned, with the usual stains and slight foxing spots ; on the whole still a fine/good copy in a contemporary binding. The suite of portrait engravings was bound in by the first owner (A. Fliousted ? - manuscript ex-libris) without the 10 text pages which normally accompany this publication (text pages, containing an index of the portraits, are supplied in photostat). Our suite is complete and comprises 104 portrait engravings .Portrait 88 (Erasmus Seidel) and 89 (Andreas Kohl) are represented in twofold. At the end are added (with manuscript numbering of the portrait number) Mattthias Kemnitz (n°101) and Matthias Dögen (n°102). The tipped-in portrait (provided by the first owner) is Sebastian Schmidt, theologian, engraved by Joh. Böcklin. Rare complete suite of the portrait engravings in first edition (without the original text-leaves, provided here in photostat) of the famous '' märkische Bildersammlung'' so called by Oskar Schwebel (Geschichte der Stadt Berlin, Vol. I, pp. 52-53)."
