Avec 30 magnifiques doubles planches hors-texte en chromolithographie, montées sur onglets, et 149 illustrations in-texte en noir. Coins frottés, rousseurs au cartonnage, pour le reste en très belle condition.

Avec 90 belles doubles planches hors-texte en chromolithographie, montées sur onglets et une planche supplémentaire représentant les différentes races humaines en frontispice. A la page titre des deux dernières parties, il est indiqué "d'après l'ouvrage du Dr. G. H. de Schubert". Dos décollé, 2 planches détachées, plusieurs pages (dont quelques planches) avec déchirures, parfois avec tout petit manque. Inscription (datée de 1898) sur garde.
