Édition originale.Archibald Henry Sayce (1845-1933) était surtout linguiste et assyriologue : à l'âge de 18 ans, il prouva qu'il lisait l'hébreu, l'égyptien, le persan et le sanscrit, ce qui naturellement facilite singulièrement une carrière d'orientaliste.
