Dardanus Tragédie Lyrique en quatre Actes. Représentée pour la première fois devant leurs Majestés à Triannon le 18 Septembre 1784 et par l'Académie Royale de Musique le 30 novembre suivant. Mise en Musique par Mr. Sacchini.
Paris, Chés l'Auteur rue basse du Rempart n°17 , Chés le Sr. Sieber rue St. Honoré n°92 et aux adresses ordinaires. Gravée par G. Magnian, s.d. (1785), first edition, in-folio, 33 x 24,7 cm, engraved title + 269 pp with engraved music. . Bound in contemporary full green coloured vellum, smooth spine with title label, leather label on frontcover with the gilt name '' M. Garnier ''. Corners of binding worn with some loss of vellum, still a good/fine copy. First edition of the full score of Sacchini's opera Dardanus. (F. Lesure , pp 554).

Rarissima prima edizione del libretto "Il popolo di Giuda liberato dalla morte per intercessione della Regina Ester" musicato da Antonio Sacchini (1730-1786) compositore fiorentino.<BR><BR>Allievo di Durante a Napoli fu attivo come compositore di opere, musica sacra e da camera a Napoli, Venezia, Germania e Inghilterra prima di stabilirsi a Parigi nel 1782 (Cfr. Opac SBN)<BR><BR>A p. 8 e 18 cartoncino incollato a sostitutire un'aria di Assuer (Pupille belle) e "Quel caro figlio, oh Dio!".<BR><BR>Indicazione del compositore a pag. 3.<BR><BR>Solo due copie censite.<BR><BR>In buone condizioni e completo. <BR><BR>Copertina assente.
