Brungis, London 1671 In-4, plein veau marbré de l’époque , plats ornés de triple filet à froid, dos à nerfs, caissons ornés de filets à froid, 3 ff. n. ch. dont titre, 10 ff. n. ch. préface, 377 pp., 1 f. blanche, 13 ff. n. ch. Nombreuses figures gravées sur bois dans le texte et deux sur cuivre hors-texte. Reliure très usagée, avec important manque au dos, marge extérieure des premières pages restaurée, marge intérieure de la première page de préface restaurée, angle supérieur des pages 49 à 56 rongé avec petite atteinte au texte et à la pagination, quelques déchirures marginales sans manque de texte déchirures restaurées au f. LI, rousseurs éparses.‎

‎Seconde édition, enrichie, notamment, des précieuses figures. Le principal ouvrage de Richard Saunders (1613-1692) médecin, astrologue et, certainement le plus célèbre chiromancien de son temps. Il associe à ses propres recherches des travaux anciens (Scot, Paracelsus, Della Porta, Cardano, Goclenius, Robert Fludd) non sans avoir emprunté des passages entiers à son contemporain français Jean Belot (1654).
