‎In 8. Dim. 17x24,5 cm. Pp. 75+(1). Versione del 1948 a cura di Franceschini della celebre fiaba popolare europea "Biancaneve e il principe azzurro". La versione più celebre della favola è quella dei Fratelli Grimm. All'interno sono presenti cinque planches colorate della quali tre sagomate e applicate che formano un effetto tridimensionale, alcune in bianco e nero fuori testo e nel testo di Aldo Silipigni. Risultano mancanti le pagine 1 e 3 che corrispondono alla prima pagina di sguardia e all'occhietto o pagina pubblicitaria, il testo è completo. In mediocri condizioni. Copertina cartonata coeva in mediocri condizioni generali con usure e parti mancanti ai margini e dorso assente. Piatto anteriore staccato. Legatura quasi assente. All'interno le pagine si presentano in buone condizioni con rare fioriture. Segni di nastro adesivo a pagg. 34, 35, 36. Strappo alla penultima planche con segni di nastro adesivo. Pagine 1 e 3 mancanti (prima pagina di sguardia e occhietto o pagina pubblicitaria). Version if 1948 cared by Franceschini of the famous popular european tale "Biancaneve e il principe azzurro". The most famous version is that of Grimm brothers. inside there are five coloured planches of which three are shaped and applied forming a tridimensional effect, some black and white in the text and out of text illustrations by Aldo Silipigni. Unfortunately pages 1 and 3 corresponding to the first endpage and false title page are missing, the text is complete. In poor conditions. Full carton coeval cover in poor general conditions with wearings and missing parts in the edges and spine missing. Front plate is detached. Binding is almost missing. Inside pages are in good conditions with occasional foxings. Signs of adhesive tape in pag. 34, 35, 36. Tear in the penultimate planche with signs of adhesive tape. Pages 1 and 3 are missing (corresponding to the first endpage and false title page or advertising page).‎

‎Summary Early modern objects, images and artworks often served as nodes of discussion and contestation. If images were sometimes contested by external and often competing agencies (religious and secular authorities, image theoreticians, inquisitions, or single individuals), artists and objects were often just as likely to impose their own rules and standards through the continuation or contestation of established visual traditions, styles, iconographies, materialities, reproductions and reframings. Centering on the capacity of the image as agent ? either in actual legal processes or, more generally, in the creation of new visual standards ? this volume provides a first exploration of image normativity by means of a series of case studies that focus in different ways on the intersections between the limits of the sacred image and the power of art between 1450 and 1650.
