Ignatius, 1693, in-12°, 13 x 7,5 cm vollederen band uit de tijd (lichte gebruikssporen) Ex bibliotheca Antwerpse Grauwzusters met stempel op schutblad, en manuscript ex libris van Theresia van Dam grauwnon (afkomstig uit Berendrecht, geprofest op 7 februari 1822, overleden op 28 augustus 1878). #Loven ( Leuven ) , By Isbrandt Jacobsz[oon] ( fictitious ), voor P.I. Paets ( Amsterdam ), 1629, in-8°, 17 x 11 cm, 455 lvs : 39 (unnumbered) + 416 numbered), ( complete). With 300 woodcut illustrations cut by Christoffel van Sichem II from designs by Maarten van Heemskerck and Jan van der Straet ( Stradanus ) for the Apostles and after Albrecht Dürer for the Apocalyps. Bound in contemporary full calf , edges painted red. Binding with minimal traces of use. Outer lower joint cracked but holding together. Title page a bit dustsoiled. Some of the illustrations have some old (rather crude) colouring. Very fine copy. From the library of the Jesuit College of Halle ( south of Brussels). With a manuscript ex-libris in the upper margin of the title page.. The printer's name Isbrandt Jacobsz. is only known from the title page of this book. It is a fictitious name used by the Amsterdam publisher Pieter Jakobsz. Paets ( see Delsaerdt, Suam Quisque... pp. 351 note 2).
