Tinka Pittoors ( 1977) is een Belgische beeldende kunstenares die regelmatig tentoonstelt in Vlaanderen, Walloni , Nederland en Frankrijk. Wie het atelier van Tinka Pittoors betreedt, zal een artifici le tuin ontdekken. Een explosie van vormen en kleuren, een plek waar alles een toekomstig kunstwerk kan zijn. Pittoors onderzoekt in haar sculpturen en objecten de utopie van een kneedbare wereld. De kloof tussen natuur en cultuur dient vaak als uitgangspunt. Elke presentatie is een momentopname op maat van de locatie. Het boek 'Les Voyageurs' verschijnt naar aanleiding van haar gelijknamige tentoonstelling in de tuinen van Ch teau Seneffe. Het kasteel en de tuinen van Seneffe zijn voor het Vlaamse publiek nog een onontdekte parel, maar vormen zowaar het Versailles van de Waalse gemeenschap. Het landgoed strekt zich uit over 22 hectare grond en omvat fonteinen, prieeltjes, ongerepte natuur en dromerige wandelpaden. Voor deze expo cre erde Pittoors een parcours dat reflecteert over de verschillende mogelijkheden van reizen, verplaatsing en onthechting, vertrekken en aankomen, vluchten en queestes. Naast een aantal beelden van deze tentoonstelling toont het boek met zijn 208 pagina's ook een mooi overzicht van vroegere werken van Tinka Pittoors. De inleiding wordt verzorgd door Pieter Vermeulen, verder zijn er tekstbijdrages van Marjolaine Hanssens, Veronika Pot, Carine Fol, Isabelle Pouget, Dominique Legrand, Stijn Tormans, Marc Ruyters, Jan Braet en Saskia De Coster. The introduction was written by Pieter Vermeulen.
