Johan van der Does, dit Janus Dousa, seigneur de Noordwijk, né le 5 décembre 1545 à Noordwijk où il est mort le 8 octobre 1604, est un magistrat, philologue, historien, poète et patriote néerlandais qui a puissamment contribué à lindépendance des Provinces-Unies.

L'édition princeps du Satyricon est publiée, sous le nom d'auteur de « Petronius Arbiter », à Milan en 1482, mais la première édition complète du roman est publiée à Amsterdam en 1669., Jolie édition critique des oeuvres de Petrone, illustrée du beau frontispice grave par C. Decker, donnee par Adrien de Valois avec les notes critiques de Jean Bourdelot et un glossaire. (Brunet, IV, 575).....rare...en bon état malgré les légers défauts signalés.

La satyre. Traduite en françois avec le texte latin suivant le nouveau manuscrit trouvé à Bellegrade en 1688.
