Berlin, Eigenbrödler, 1928, in-4, 7 p. de texte et 31 planches reproduites en héliogravure, fleurons, Couvertures cartonnées de l'éditeur reliées par un ruban rouge, première de couverture illustrée en rouge, gardes rouges, ÉDITION ORIGINALE de ce très bel ouvrage réunissant les nus photographiques réalisés en Chine par Heinrich von Perckhammer (1895-1965). Marin, en 1914, il fait naufrage en Extrême-Orient et son navire est coulé. Lui et quelques membres restants de l'équipage sont alors internés dans un camp chinois de 1917 à 1919. C'est à cette époque qu'il débute sa carrière de photographe, il reste en Chine jusqu'en 1928, date à laquelle est publié cet album. À son retour à Berlin, il ouvre son "Photo-Art-Studio" sur le Kurfürstendamm, et fournit la presse pour des clichés de la société, du sport automobile ainsi que de nombreux nus ; il publie quelques livres de photos, notamment sur le thème de la Chine. Perckammer is a famous German Photographer. He travelled to Southern China and Macao in the late twenties where he photographed women from the Macao brothels. His original photographs and illustrated albums on China and Peking are now very valuable.
