" Oberammergau, Passionsspiel im Oberammergau, 1870, Private souvenir album, thick in-8°, 18 x 14 cm, 22 thick white board-like mounts containing each (recto and verso) in total 38 original portrait photographs of the actors, 4 views and an original admission ticket. Album in full brown leather, blindstamped, with large metal clasp, nicely gilt edges, white satin paper endpapers, the boards with white coated papers, absolutely stainless interior, binding finely preserved with only very minor traces of wear at some extremeties. Very nice. Among the portraits; Johann Diemer - Chorführer ; Joseph Maier - Christus ; Jakob Hett - Petrus ; Maria -Franziska Flunger ; Johannes -Johann Zwink ; Judas -Gregor Lechner ; Joseph von Arimathäa -Thomas Rendl ; Pilatus -Tobias Flunger ; Herodes - Franz Paul Lang ; Kaiphas -Johann Lang...The portraits are themselves mounted on cards which have a printed caption and the photographer's lithographed address on the backside (Steigenberger in Weilheim Oberbayern)."
