This exhibition The Fifties in Croatian Art deals with the topic of artistic production of the 50s in Croatia, and through nine disciplines (art, art criticism, architecture, design, photography, film, theatre, literature, music) attempts to reconstruct an age. It is exceptionally complex design project, and ambitious work of total design, where group Numen took over the design of all elements of the show ? from visual identity to set-up. In conceptual terms, the catalogue of course seeks its inspiration in the spirit of the fifties ? from the basic elements of design (the typeface is Helvetica) to the modernist, austerely structured page grid.
