‎Londn, Longmans Green & Co., 1874, (additions to August 1st. 1876), in-8vo, in 17 parts mounted on linen, in orig. slipcase, from the library of H. G. Willink (1852-1938) with his name in pencil, with clothslip in O.-box with gilt title (box used).‎


‎As a member of the Alpine Club, and vice-president at one time, H. G. Willink climbed in Switzerland in his early years, and illustrated the Badminton Library Book on "Mountaineering." But his taste was more for walking (and drawing), in Switzerland, esp. Zermatt, his guide on all occasions was Johan Anderegg (with a notice by Tony Astill,, laid in).This highly detailed and historically significant map, created for the Alpine Club, was one of the earliest comprehensive topographical maps of the Swiss Alps to use modern surveying and mapping techniques, with a multilingual legend in English, French, German, and Italian.
