This is the rare French edition of a work on the National Gallery in London which was first published in English. It is one of the highlights of ''interpretation engraving in steel''. This is a very rare copy ot the French translation. It contains at the beginning of vol.I , after the French typographical title the original English engraved title. The rest of the book is entirely in French..Very fine copy, without any foxing or staining, not even on the serpents."
