Vues photographiques en noir (procédé collotype). L'une (n° 31) est en couleurs. Ogawa Kazumasa (1860 - 1929) fut un pionnier de la photographie et de la phototypie au Japon. Après un séjour à Boston, il ouvrit à Tokyo le premier studio photographique de son pays. Ce "Nikko district" est l'un des ses plus copieux albums de collotypes. - Petite atteinte d'humidité au bas du dos, sans manque de tissu, petite mouillure claire à l'angle inférieur gauche des premiers feuillets, mouillure claire dans la marge inférieure des 10 derniers feuillets ; l'étui est endommagé.

Kobe, Japan, published at the office of the ''Chronicle'', 1903, in-8°, 24,5 x 15 cm, viii pp + 741 pp + (2)nn pp ( Japanese title or colophon) + 9 folding coloured maps ( map of Japan in Provinces in time of Iyeyasu (365 x 245 mm), two feudal maps of Japan (260 x 195 mm) of which one of Japan between 1564 - 73 and the other between 1573 - 83, a map of Korea (250 x 355 mm), a feudal map of Japan before Sekigahara (365 x 245 mm), a plan of the Battle of Sekigahara (265 x 165 mm), a plan of the Osaka First or Wintercampain 1614 (360 x 410 mm), a plan of the Osaka Second or Summer Campaign (245 x 255 mm), a feudal map of Japan in 1615 (365 x 245 mm) all coloured in outline. Green publisher's cloth with gilt title on spine. Very fine copy of the original edition with only minimal wear at the binding.

London, printed by A. Strahan, 1788, in-12°, xxvii pp + 191 pp + 4 full page engravings by T. Cock after Dodd. Bound in contemorary full red morocco, smooth spine with gilt decoration, gilt fillets on the covers , all edges gilt. Binding with some traces of use at the extremities, front cover a bit discoloured, else a fine copy with a fine interior.
