‎London William Mackenzie 1880 Ensemble complet et original des six volumes de cet ouvrage. Première édition. Reliure cartonnée, reliée en percaline couleur rouille de l'éditeur, avec titres noirs et dorés et motifs en relief sur les plats et le dos. Page de titre imprimée et gravée. Chaque volume est magnifiquement illustré de 40 planches chromolithographiques en couleurs, avec des intercalaires en papier de soie. (Y compris la petite vignette du titre). Les plats sont légèrement frottés. Toutes les tranches sont dorées. Quelques légères rousseurs et des traces d'encrassement, mais dans l'ensemble en bon état. Certains volumes sont légèrement inclinés. Publié à l'origine en plusieurs parties entre 1864 et 1880 par Longman, sous le titre : The county seats of the noblemen and gentlemen of Great Britain and Ireland ; puis par D. Banks à Leeds, mais finalement vendu sous forme d'ouvrage en six volumes en 1880 par William Mackenzie. 92, [40 planches]., 80, [40 planches]., 82, [40 planches]., 82, [40 planches]., 80, [40 planches]., 80, [40 planches]. COMPLET. 280 x 225 mm (11 x 8Ÿ pouces). Un volume ultérieur comprenait des fac-similés des autographes des abonnés. Conforme à WorldCat / OCLC : 1593882.‎


‎A complete original set of the six volumes of this work. First Edition Thus. Hardback, bound in publisher's russet coloured percaline, with black and gilt titles and embossed design to boards and spine. Letterpress and engraved title page. Each volume is beautifully illustrated with 40 colour chromolithograph plates, complete with tissue guards. (Including the smaller title vignette). The boards are a little rubbed. All edges gilt. There is some light foxing and definite offsetting, but overall good. A fractional lean to some volumes. Published originally in parts between 1864 and 1880 by Longman, under title: The county seats of the noblemen and gentlemen of Great Britain and Ireland; then by D. Banks in Leeds, but ultimately was sold as a subscription work in six volumes in 1880 by William Mackenzie. 92, [40 plates]., 80, [40 plates]., 82, [40 plates]., 82, [40 plates]., 80, [40 plates]., 80, [40 plates]. COMPLETE. 280 x 225 mm (11 x 8Ÿ inches). There was a later volume which included facsimile autographs of the subscribers. Conforms to WorldCat / OCLC: 1593882. .‎
