This report was presented at the first ever annual meeting of the AIAA - The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The AIAA was founded a year earlier ( in 1963) and was created out of a merger of the American Rocket Society (from 1930) and the Institute of the Aeronautical Sciences (from 1933). The report consists of four parts; a general introduction, appendix A on nuclear rockets; appendix B on electric thrustors ; power generation for electric propulsion ( appendix C). The three appendices are extensively illustrated."
