‎Entzückendes Ansichten- und Reisewerk von Schweizer Berglandschaften, gezeichnet und ausgeführt von Lory und Lafond. Komplettes Exemplar in exzellentem Erhaltungszustand und in zartem Originalkolorit. Lediglich die letzte Ansicht trägt die Signatur Zehenders als Zeichner. Dieser schrieb dafür das Vorwort und wohl auch die restlichen Texte (die auch Doyen Bridel zugeschrieben wurden, cf. Lonchamp), welche die besuchten Regionen und Orte kommentieren. Der berühmte Berner Landschaftsmaler und Aquarellist Gabriel Ludwig Lory (Lory père) (1763-1840) und Simon Daniel Lafond (1763-1831), ebenfalls ein Berner Landschaftsmaler, der sich auf geätzte Umrisszeichnungen und deren Kolorierung spezialisierte, begannen um 1787, gemeinsam Kunstblätter, meist vom Berner Oberland, herauszugeben. Dieses Werk entstand nach einer Reise durch das Berner Oberland und die Innerschweiz. Die am Schluss noch beigebundene Tafel mit Miniaturansichten und den „Remarques minéralogiques de Mr Wyttenbach, Pasteur de l’Eglise du St. Esprit à Berne“ war Mandach offensichtlich nicht bekannt. ‎The uncommon first edition of Michelet's first notable work, ""A System of Philosophical Morals"". The noticeable German philosopher Karl Ludwig Michelet (1801 - 1893) was left-Hegelian philosopher who defended a political and religious liberalism that tended towards radicalism. He was an important student of Hegel and he was the co-editor of his works. He studied philosophy at the University of Berlin and became doctor here in 1824"" in 1829, the year after he published the present work, he became professor of philosophy at the university and remained so until his death. He spent his entire career defending and continuing the doctrines of Hegel. In his ""System der philosophischen Moral"", he deals with the principles of human actions and examines the ethical theory of the responsibility of these.‎

Seconde édition dans laquelle l'avis au relieur a été conservé (après le titre du tome I, pour la positionnement des gravures), complète des 16 gravures dépliantes (frontispice compris), légendées en français, et néerlandais (et parfois anglais). Cette édition se veut plus complète et plus correcte que l'originale de 1734. Pleine basane d'époque, dos à nerfs orné, pièces de titre et tomaison, tranches marbrées. Epidermures, manques aux coins et en bas des plats du tome II. Beau papier, bien conservé, quelques planches un peu abîmée dans la marge qui dépasse, une planche avec une déchirure sur le bas (sans manque). Edition peu commune.‎
