The rare first edition of the foundational document of the Royal Danish Agricultural Academy founded in 1762 by Lüders. The text outlines the academy's mission, structure, organization and objectives as conceived on its establishment day. Philipp Ernst Lüders (1702 - 1786) was a Protestant pastor in Munkbrarup and provost in the Glücksburg provostry, an educator, an agricultural reformer of the Enlightenment era and one of the first agricultural economists. On July 13, 1763, at Lüders initiative, the Royal Danish Agricultural Academy was founded as an informal association of farmers, teachers and pastors. It was the first economic society in the Duchy of Schleswig. However, the academy had to be closed again in 1767 because ecclesiastical superiors from Copenhagen and the General Superintendent for Schleswig-Holstein, Adam Struensee, took offense at his secular activities.
